AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV
Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of
independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.
This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus
far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable vision of activating
India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
The official journey of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commenced on 12th March 2021 which started a 75-week
countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence and will end post a year on 15th August 2023. Following
are the five themes of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Gujarat Commerce College is marked by a series of commemorative events,
including cultural programs, seminars, competitions and historical reenactments. These events aim to educate
students and people about India’s history and inspire a sense of patriotism. Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has
brought together students from all walks of life, transcending regional, cultural, and religious boundaries. It
fosters a sense of unity and pride in being a part of a nation with a rich history of resilience and triumph.
SHRESHTHA BHARAT KE PANCH PRAKALP
As our nation completes 75 years of independence, the entire country is celebrating the "Azadi
Ka Amrit Mahotsav" program in various forms.
In order to ignite the spirit of patriotism and nation-building among the young students studying
in all the universities, government, aided and self-reliant colleges and all institutions associated
with technical education in the state, through various activities in the selected fields, they can
voluntarily join the activities that will be beneficial and beneficial to the entire society as well
as the citizens of the state. The programme has been implemented since 2021.
